NOËL AND COLE

Check out this new album from PS Classics and David Loud. David was the Music Director for Sondheim on Sondheim and Tommy Krasker (at PS Classics) produced the cast album for that show. How nice it was that they remembered me and asked me to be involved with their new project Noel and Cole. And here it is. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it.

The Signature Theatre

The life of an actor is filled with uncertainty. There are the lean times when you can't get work even if you offer to do it for free, then suddenly one's cup runneth over. This uncertainty is actually very exciting and makes every day an adventure – but sometimes there are sad and unexpected consequences.
That's why I'm writing to apologise to my friends and fans in the DC area (and beyond) who were planning to come see me in concert at Signature Theatre early in the New Year.
I regret to say that after much discussion with Eric, Matt, and the whole team at the theatre, we have decided to cancel all five shows.

Caledonia - The Homecoming was released in May 2011. It is available on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon and of course through Euan's label, Lyric Partners. Caledonia can also be purchased at many Scottish retail stores across the country.

Career Biography/Résumé

Euan Morton, a native of Scotland, received an Olivier Award nomination for originating the role of Boy George in the musical Taboo. He moved to New York in 2003 to reprise the role on Broadway, earning Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League Award nominations, as well as the Theatre World Award (for Outstanding Broadway Debut).

Other stage appearances include title roles in: Tony Kushner's adaptation of Brundibár at the New Victory Theatre and Berkeley Rep; The Who's Tommy at the Bay Street Theatre; Caligula for the inaugural season of the New York Musical Theatre Festival (2004 NYMF Award for Outstanding Individual Performance) Measure For Pleasure at the Public Theatre (2006 Obie Award). Euan also appeared in the Broadway revival of Cyrano De Bergerac and in the original Broadway revue Sondheim on Sondheim.

Off-Broadway, Euan performed opposite Alfred Molina in Howard Katz at the Roundabout Theatre and in the 2009 American premiere of Leaves of Glass.

Regionally he starred in Moisés Kaufman's production of Into the Woods at the Kansas City Rep.and in Chess at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. Euan played the role of Leo Frank in the historic Ford's Theatre's production of the musical Parade (Helen Hayes winner, best actor) and appeared as Launce in William Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C.

When not working in theatre Euan has travelled the country conducting master classes in the craft of acting and singing.

On film, Euan can be seen in the documentary Showbusiness: The Road to Broadway which follows the history of a Broadway season and is now available on DVD.

Euan can be heard on various cast recordings and released his debut solo CD NewClear in 2006, followed by Caledonia- the Homecoming in 2011. He has appeared in concert in New York City at the Oak Room at the Algonquin, Town Hall, the Metropolitan Room, the Zipper, Joe's Pub and Birdland, as well as at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA and The Kennedy Centre in Washington DC, and many other venues all over the country.
